An international engineering design and management consultancy based in Port Harcourt is expanding its team and is seeking to recruit further experienced design engineers for its infrastructure and oil and gas projects in Nigeria. Thus we are seeking well qualified and experienced design engineers who are confident and capable of understanding and meeting our clients needs, leading and developing design teams, inspiring confidence, and leadership.

Lead Architect, to join our project office in Port Harcourt to work on the design of office buildings, warehouses, multi-storey apartments, schools, hospitals, etc and supporting infrastructure works. This role is responsible for addressing technical issues in order to meet client's specifications of performance whilst ensuring that your contribution to projects meets agreed quality, programmes and budget requirements for a number of small and intermediate sized projects.

Civil design engineer for horizontal and vertical construction to join our project office in Port Harcourt to work on the design of office buildings, warehouses, multi-storey apartments, schools, hospitals, roads, bridges, etc and supporting infrastructure works. This role is responsible for addressing technical issues in order to meet client's specifications of performance whilst ensuring that your contribution to projects meets agreed quality, programmes and budget requirements for a number of small and intermediate sized projects.


Reporting to team leader or project manager the successful candidates will:
Liaise with client, contractors and other external bodies.
Assist and produce project proposals.
Assist and produce cost and planning estimates.
Provide design for the above type of building projects.
Provide project specifications, design criteria, calculations, scopes of work, BoQs.
Produce and oversee the production of detailed drawings.
Conduct site survey and prepare report.
Manage and supervise others.
Compile design packages for onward issue.
Liaise and co-ordinate other associated project disciplines.
Assist in the training of others as required.
Any other duty which might reasonably be expected within your experience, qualifications and capacity to perform.

Qualifications:
Applicants should be HND/Degree qualified with membership or associate membership of a relevant professional institution.
Significant experience in a similar position with good multi-disciplinary experience of your field.

Demonstrated experience of managing a Civil/Architectural and Building Services design office.

Strong IT skills in being fluent in Analysis software, e.g. STAAD, ACAD, MS Word and Excel.

Demonstrated capability of working to deadlines.

Experience of working to relevant International Standards.

An intimate knowledge of relevant national and local legislation
