EHS Manager Nigeria

Job Description:

Responsibilities
Drive GE Corporate and GE Oil&Gas EHS initiatives and values.
Grow, promote and Maintain a healthy and safe work environment for the Port Harcourt workshops and field services based & distributed employees.
Ensure compliance with national and local environmental, health and safety regulations.
Work closely with operators and management to ensure implementation of effective EHS processes and systems using EHS management framework and scorecard systems.
Conduct accident and incident investigations to determine root cause and proactive solutions.
Lead projects EHS compliance assessments and report progress toward achieving business EHS goals and objectives.
Support the development of customer site employee health and safety awareness programs, and facilitate communications with field service employees.
Develop, conduct and coordinate required EHS trainings.
Conduct EHS audits of services and projects installations

Qualifications
Degree in Engineering, Occupational Safety & Health, Environmental Science or related discipline.
2+ years of EHS experience.
Knowledge of Nigerian EHS state regulations
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Positive influencing skills in a team environment of dispersed management and workforce.
Ability to travel to perform responsibilities and duties
Computer literate: Microsoft office programs.
Fluency in English
