Job Description:
* Coordinate the development, improvement and implementation of internationally compliant policies and procedures regarding accounting and management of MTNN fixed assets
* Design framework and provide strategic directions for fixed asset policies review
* Provide guidance to management on fixed asset related accounting standards
* Lead the design and integration of all fixed asset related activities throughout the organization
* Manage and coordinate the process for obtaining all necessary statutory certification as relates to MTNN fixed assets
* Establish and implement process for identification and test of impairment indicators on MTNN assets
* Develop strategies and coordinate periodic review of Asset Retirement Provision assumptions
* Manage and control fixed asset register to provide precise and dependable information on MTNN fixed assets
* Manages all fixed assets verification and audits
* Manage integration of new business initiatives into MTNN fixed asset
* Development of a short and long term strategy for safeguarding MTNN fixed assets and promoting ownership spirit within the company
* Interface with all internal and external stakeholders on all issues pertaining to the accounting and management of MTNN fixed assets
* Coordinate development and implementation of periodic asset verification exercise
* Coordinate the review and selection of appropriate depreciation methods, useful life and residual value for MTNN fixed assets
* Develop and review strategy for implementation of Reverse logistics process
* Manage fixed asset related matters with both internal and external auditors
* Ensure conformance of all company’s capital projects to company’s PPP’s on project execution
* Develop and implement strategy that ensures CAPEX is within approved budget and that detect any variance
* Develop and coordinate process of obtaining all necessary statutory certification as relate to MTNN fixed assets
* Provide support to GM, CFO and CEO in preparation and maintenance of strategic plans
* Provide a variety of adhoc reports for management decision making as regards assets of the company
* Evaluate efficiency of systems being used in all fixed asset related activities

Job Conditions: Normal MTN N working conditions Extended working hours Deals with a lot of paper work Move around locally to have a first hand view of what is on site

Reporting To: General Manager, Financial Operation

Required Skills:
* 10/12 years post graduation work experience in core accounting function
* At least 5 years experience in fixed asset management preferably within the telecommunication industry
* Experience in working with fixed asset management system and Enterprise Financial System
* Knowledge of applicable International Accounting standards

Employment Status : Permanent
Qualification: A first degree in a Finance related discipline, Computer Science or business related discipline, A professional accounting qualification (ACA, CPA, ACCA) is mandatory
